ON TRACK FOR GRADUATION       

Outcomes

  •  By June 2026, 85% of MLL Students will earn a pass proficient or higher score on their Mathematics SOL an increase of 7% from the 2024 - 2025 school year.   

  • By August 2026, we will increase the percentage of 9th graders earning two or more verified credits this school year from 92% to 95%.

Strategies

  • OTG: Designate and/or optimize a school team focused on monitoring the FGI projection, cohort, and student-level data to design plans for testing, credit recovery, and credit accrual.

  • MATH: Improve the integrity of implementation of core curriculum, and/or intervention programs by using FCPS-adopted resources with fidelity to align with the Framework for Engaging & Student-Centered Mathematics Instruction.                                                                                                                                                                                         

POST-SECONDARY READINESS

Outcomes

  • By the end of the 2025-26 school year, the percentage of students with disabilities succeeding in 1 or more AP/DE courses will increase from 55% to 60%.

  • By the end of the 2025-26 school year, the percentage of Langley High School students (9th- 12th Grade) enrolling in an AP course will increase from 56% to 60%.

Strategies

  • ACADEMIC ADVISING: Carefully review academic records and cumulative updates for newly-enrolled students to gain 3E experiences (i.e. academic advising for AP/IB/DE, HQWBL, CTE completer and credential, Service Learning)

  • INSTRUCTIONAL: Strengthen differentiation by designing and implementing effective scaffolds (e.g. use of AP Classroom materials to scaffold and monitor students’ learning)

SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING AND WELLNESS

Outcomes

  • By June 2026, the percentage of ninth through twelfth grade students who report feeling a sense of belonging at Langley High School will increase by 5% from 65% (Fall 2024) to 70%, based on the SEL Screener results.

Strategies

  • Provide all students with access to, information about, and facilitate engagement in available extracurricular activities and volunteer opportunities throughout the school year.

  • Implement a Tier 1 evidence-based SEL curriculum with fidelity, ensuring all students receive consistent, explicit SEL skills instruction.
