Graduation Information 2026
GRADUATION CEREMONY:
- Thursday, June 11, 2026
- EagleBank Arena, George Mason University, 4500 Patriot Circle, Fairfax, VA
- Seniors will arrive at EagleBank Arena at 1:00 PM and enter through the loading dock on the East side.
- Doors open for guests at 1:00 PM
- Ceremony begins at 2:00 PM
- Parking is free.
Student Arrival:Students should arrive at 1:00 PM at the loading dock on the East side. Students who arrive after 1:30 PM may not be seated. Students should arrive WEARING their cap and tassel with their robe OPEN. Students may only carry a key fob. Students with specific medical needs will be accommodated. All other items will be held by security and may be retrieved at Robinson the next business day after Noon.
Student Attire:All students are expected to wear “business casual” attire (skirt, dress, khakis, collared button-down shirt, tie, socks, and trousers). Flip-flops are not allowed. Flowers and candy leis may not be worn on the graduation gown or carried. Students are prohibited from decorating their graduation caps .
Safety and Security:Students are subject to cursory searches for inappropriate items. Keys, key chains, cell phones, cameras, communication devices, laser pointers, balloons, beach balls, or anything that can be blown up and tossed are prohibited. If you have any additional questions, please contact your child’s counselor. Inappropriate items may be confiscated and can be retrieved at Robinson the next business day after Noon.
Admission and Seating:Admission is free, and no tickets will be issued. Arena doors will open at 1:00 PM for parents, family members and guests. There is ample seating for everyone. EagleBank Arena staff members will direct guests on the concourse, clear portal areas/aisles and assist guests with disabilities who may have difficulty navigating steps. All entries into EagleBank Arena are wheelchair accessible. There is ample handicap seating. Parking lots provide ample parking spaces for all who wish to attend the Graduation Ceremony. The Graduation Ceremony will be closed captioned on the Jumbotron screen.
Guest Information: Photos: Arrangements have been made with Victor O'Neill Studios to take a picture of each graduate as he/she receives their diploma. This picture and others will be available for purchase from the photographer.

Guest Behavior:Commencement exercises are filled with dignity and tradition. The success of the ceremony is dependent upon the dignified behavior of all who are present. Guests are requested to remain in their seats throughout the ceremony, including the recessional. Please note that the EagleBank Arena does not allow helium balloons, air horns, or beach balls. Please help us support the formal decorum of this significant milestone in your child’s life.
Finding your Graduate: Graduates will be seated on the floor of EagleBank Arena, facing east.
- South Side (floor): First half of the alphabet
- North Side (floor): Second half of the alphabet
Best viewing tips:
- To see your graduate receive their diploma, sit on the opposite side.
- To see your graduate during the ceremony, sit on the same side.
At the end of the ceremony, graduates will exit through the north side of EagleBank Arena. Please plan and choose a meet-up point in advance.

Graduation Rehearsal and Cap & Gown Distribution
Location: Robinson Field House
Date: Wednesday June 10, 2026
Time: 9:00 - 11 AM
Graduation rehearsal will be held on Wednesday June 10 at 9:00 am at Robinson Secondary School. Students will receive their cap/gowns at rehearsal. Caps, gowns, and tassels have been received for all of our seniors and there is no further action required from families.
All students walking at graduation will be required to wear the issued cap and gown and must conform to the dress code expectations, which are fully explained below under Graduation Attire. Students attending the Senior Parade at the pyramid elementary schools on June 8 will receive them that day, however, cords and medals will be kept until distribution at rehearsal.
Students who have not paid fines and fees (e.g., textbook fees, library fines, transcript fees, senior fees, etc.), WILL NOTreceive their cap and gown until all financial obligations are satisfied. Please visit the Finance Office and settle all financial obligations by May 22nd, 2026.
Families willbe advised of any specific student obligations weekly leading up to May 22nd.

The Senior Awards Program will take place on Wednesday June 10, 2026 at 4:00 PM in the Russell Theater at Robinson Secondary.

Senior Dues
Location: Finance Office & MySchoolBucks.com
Due Date: May 22, 2026
Each senior must pay a one-time fee of $100.00. Senior dues cover the cost of the venue, cap and gown, diploma cover, rental of equipment, security, and other items associated with the graduation ceremony. All dues are collected over MySchoolBucks or in the finance office by check. Students will need to pay their dues before they are able to receive any purchased prom ticket or receive their cap and gown for graduation.
All Night Grad Party

For over 35 years, Robinson has hosted an alcohol-free, drug-free celebration held on Graduation night designed to keep our seniors safe. This celebration, known as All Night Grad Party, is planned, fundraised, executed and chaperoned by parent volunteers! High schools throughout FCPS, around the state and across the country, host ANGP events with a similar purpose.

Prom 2026

Robinson Seniors are invited to the prom. If you are bringing a non-Robinson guest, a guest form is required to be approved before you can purchase a ticket for that individual. Guest forms are available on Schoology. Completed guest forms need to be turned in when retrieving your physical ticket the week of May 11 - May 15. If your guest form is not completed and signed, you will not be able to get the ticket for your guest.
Tickets can be purchased via MySchoolBucks.com through May 14, 2026. Tickets are $85.00. Tickets will also be sold for cash and check during all lunches, May 11 through May 15, 2026. Students who purchase tickets online will need to pick up the physical ticket during lunch 5/11-5/15 by showing their MySchoolBucks receipt. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Lost tickets will not be replaced.
We expect the prom to be a safe activity. Students and guests must bring their physical prom tickets and picture ID to be admitted to prom. The prom ticket must be shown for admittance.Students who depart from the prom entrances will not be readmitted.

Senior Walk/Elementary Parade
Location:Robinson Field House
Date:Monday, June 8, 2026 (sign up by May 29)
Time: 8:00 - Noon
Seniors may join us for the Senior Walk through Robinson and the Senior Parade at our pyramid elementary schools to celebrate all that you have accomplished and to inspire the next generation of Robinson Rams. Sign-up for the Senior Parade will be available in the Class Schoology after May 1. The registration deadline is May 29. Seniors will receive their cap and gown on the morning of the event. This event is free.
Fines and Fees
Location: Senior Sub-school
Due Date: May 22, 2026
By May 22, all fees must be paid by credit or debit card through www.myschoolbucks.com . To pay by credit card, you MUST have a myschoolbucks.com account already set up. It is particularly important for seniors to continue monitoring their obligations as the year ends. If textbooks or other school equipment are lost, the student will still be responsible for the cost of replacement. Students may not participate in the graduation ceremony until financial obligations are met.
Students will need to pay off their fees/obligations before they are able to receive any purchased prom ticket or receive their cap and gown for graduation.
Policy on Alcohol and Other Drugs
Robinson Secondary firmly adheres to a zero-tolerance policy on the use and/or possession of alcohol or other drugs. Students possessing, using, or under the influence of alcohol or other drugs or in possession of drug-related paraphernalia at any senior activities, including prom, or any other school-related activity, will be subject to a mandatory 30-day suspension from school activities and may face additional disciplinary action, including a possible referral to the Division Superintendent, in accordance with FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities.
