Literacy Updates

Both FCPS and state level activity have converged upon a common goal: that every child will become a proficient lifelong reader.  The FCPS Equitable Access to Literacy plan provides our roadmap to ensure the success of all students.  The state law, The Virginia Literacy Act, ensures evidence-based literacy instruction aligned to science-based reading research in all classrooms.  All K-6 classrooms will use the state-approved curriculum, Benchmark Advance.
