We’re excited to introduce a major milestone for Fairfax County Public Schools — our first division-wide Employee Handbook. This new resource reflects our commitment to transparency, accessibility, and support for every employee, no matter the role or tenure.

A Resource for All Employees

Whether you’re just joining FCPS or have been with us for years, this handbook is an essential resource for all employees. It’s designed to help FCPS staff better understand, navigate, and access the division. We encourage all employees to read it carefully and bookmark it as a go-to reference throughout the year.

One Guide, Many Answers

The handbook brings together key information from across the division — including policies, regulations, web-based resources, and standard practices — into one clear, easy-to-use document. While it doesn’t introduce new content, it consolidates what already exists to make it easier to find and understand.

Supporting a New Era

The launch of this handbook comes at an important time in FCPS history, as we enter a new era of collective bargaining for the first time in nearly 50 years. This resource helps promote clarity, consistency, and trust across our workforce.

Explore the FCPS Employee Handbook today and take the next step in building a stronger, more informed community of professionals.
