Over 700 6th Grade students from over 100 elementary schools participate in the All-County Choral Festival. Students are selected by audition at their elementary school. Once selected, they participate in many months of extra choral rehearsals with their general music teachers. Students come together for two days of intensive rehearsals with a nationally acclaimed conductor who specializes in working with children’s choirs. All County Choral Festival
Over 700 6th Grade students from over 100 elementary schools participate in the All-County Choral Festival. Students are selected by audition at their elementary school. Once selected, they participate in many months of extra choral rehearsals with their general music teachers. Students come together for two days of intensive rehearsals with a nationally acclaimed conductor who specializes in working with children’s choirs. The choral festival culminates with a spectacular concert by the students consisting of 10 challenging songs that feature student and staff instrumentalists.

All County Choral Festival
Over 700 6th Grade students from over 100 elementary schools participate in the All-County Choral Festival. Students are selected by audition at their elementary school. Once selected, they participate in many months of extra choral rehearsals with their general music teachers. Students come together for two days of intensive rehearsals with a nationally acclaimed conductor who specializes in working with children’s choirs. The choral festival culminates with a spectacular concert by the students consisting of 10 challenging songs that feature student and staff instrumentalists. - 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Music in the Life of Eisenhower
General Eisenhower’s use of music to maintain the morale of American troops in World War II is vividly illustrated by the Airmen of Note, performing Glenn Miller hits. The Virginia Chamber Orchestra and select Pro Coro Singers sample Eisenhower's musical favorites. This series, in the form of a four-part "docu-epic", draws on the explanations of historians, philosophers, and great sailors, a collection of period archives, charts, and texts signed by Magellan and his contemporaries, but also spectacular aerial images filmed in the different locations that Magellan and his crew travelled through on their long voyage. Historical sequences punctuate the narrative and are recreated using modern and realistic drawings inspired by Portuguese azulejo. - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
