This work goes beyond education; it strengthens our region and advances equity by ensuring every student, regardless of background, has a real opportunity to succeed. About Business and Community Partnerships is part of FCPS’ Community Relations - Experience and Engagement Office. 

We seek to work alongside businesses and community organizations by: 

• Ensuring the recruitment of potential partners is a respectful, honest, and transparent process.
• Maintaining sustained support and responsive communication with current partners.
• Serving as a liaison to local Chambers of Commerce and civic/community organizations.
• Managing the FCPS Donations Portal for donated goods.
• Promoting the Savings for Staff merchant discount program.

Historically, Business and Community Partnerships has helped secure more than $10 million in donations of money and valued goods through partnerships and in-kind donations, not including the value of volunteer hours contributed by partners.

Currently, FCPS has more than 300 business and community partners in 199 schools and centers.

Better Together: When considering a collaboration with FCPS, we encourage potential partners to think creatively about how they can support our FCPS community at scale. From providing key, foundational resources through donations, to hosting internships that prepare students for the workforce, there are many ways to partner with FCPS and make a difference in the lives and futures of our students.
