Google Scholar: Finding Full Text

How to use Google Scholar to access books and articles.

Getting Access to Articles Found in Google Scholar

Articles found in Google Scholar are either:

  1. Available through the GCU Library. ( Full-Text @ GCU)
  2. Available through Google Scholar. ( [PDF]...or [HTML]...)
  3. Not freely available.

If an article is freely available, there will be a link to the right of the article title. Click the link for access.

Getting Access to Books in Google Scholar

Book results can be identified by [BOOK]listed before the title. Like journal articles, if a book is freely available, there will be a link to the right of the title.

Please check the Library's catalog for books you are interesting in . Unlike articles, books will not show a link in Google Scholar to the Library's collection.

Obtaining Books or Articles not Freely Available

If an article or book is not freely available through Google Scholar or the GCU Library, there will not be a link to the right of the title. However, you can submit an InterLibrary Loan Request.

You can manage all your requests through our interlibrary loan system, Tipasa!
