Register and manage agents using A2UI and A2A

A Gemini Enterprise administrator can register an agent that uses Agent to UI (A2UI) to build custom interfaces and the Agent2Agent (A2A) Protocol for communication with Gemini Enterprise.

Gemini Enterprise supports all the standard A2UI components. These components render using Gemini Enterprise's built-in styling. For more information, see the A2UI components .

Register an agent using A2UI and A2A

To register your agent and enable it to interact with Gemini Enterprise using A2UI and the A2A Protocol, follow these steps:

Diagram illustrating the steps to register an agent using A2UI and A2A, including configuring the agent, hosting it, and registering it with Gemini Enterprise.

Configure your agent to use A2UI and the A2A protocols

Implement the specifications and libraries provided by Agent to UI (A2UI) for building interactive user interfaces and the Agent2Agent (A2A) Protocol for secure and standardized communication. This ensures that your agent can render user interfaces and communicate effectively with Gemini Enterprise.

Host your agent

Deploy your configured agent to a publicly accessible endpoint. You can use Google Cloud resources for hosting, such as:

  • Vertex AI Agent Engine: A fully managed service designed for deploying and scaling AI agents.

  • Cloud Run: A serverless compute platform that lets you run containerized applications, which provides flexibility and automatic scaling.

Your agent must be accessible to Gemini Enterprise for A2A Protocol communication.

Register the agent as an A2A agent with Gemini Enterprise

After your agent is hosted and accessible, a Gemini Enterprise administrator must register it with Gemini Enterprise as an A2A agent. For more information, see Register and manage A2A agents .

Manage agents

After registering your agents with Gemini Enterprise, a Gemini Enterprise administrator can view and manage the agents on the Agentspage. For more information, see Agents overview .
