Manage stored files in the Firebase console

In the Firebase console, you can get an overview of the files contained in your Cloud Storage buckets by navigating to the Databases & Storage> Storage> Filestab .

This overview can be helpful for visualizing the structure of your bucket. It also provides a convenient way to work directly with files and folders in your bucket, for example viewing detailed file information, uploading and downloading files, creating folders, and creating new download URLs for files.

Upload files

To upload files:

1. Click Upload file.
2. Select the files you want to upload.
3. Click Opento begin the upload.

Download files

To download files:

1. Click the box next to the file names to download.
2. Click Download.

Delete files or folders

To delete files or folders:

1. Click the box next to the file or folder names to delete.
2. Click Delete.

Create a folder

To create a folder:

1. Click create_new_folder .
2. Enter a name for your new folder.
3. Click Add folder.

Create a new download URL for a file

Sometime you may need to create a new download URL for a file, such as if an existing one has been too widely shared.

To create a new download URL for a file:

1. Click the name of the file whose URL you want to change.
2. Expand the File locationsection.
3. Click Create new download URL.
4. Optionally, you can click revokeon the previous download URL to remove it.
