Set & manage Google Tasks with your voice assistant

Set up Voice Match

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. At the top right, tap your Profile pictureor Initial.
3. Tap Home settings Gemini for Home voice assistant Voice Match.
4. The app shows all devices that support Voice Match. Tap a device to enable or disable Voice Match.

   • If you don’t have any devices with Voice Match enabled, tap Moreand follow the in-app steps.

   • You can also update your Voice Match settings in your Google Account. Refer to Set up & manage Voice Match for your Google Account . 

Turn on Personal results

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. At the top right, tap your Profile pictureor Initial.
3. Tap Home settings Gemini for Home voice assistant Personal results.
4. Edit settings for the devices in your home.

Tip:You can also set up personal results when you set up Voice Match .

You can ask Gemini for Home voice assistant to set a task for you. For example, you can say “Hey Google,” then:

• "Set a task."
• "Remind me to call Mom at noon tomorrow."
• "Remind me to take the bins out every Wednesday at 8:00 PM."

Tip:You can also create Tasks from other Google apps like Calendar, Gmail, and Chat.

With your voice

You can change a task’s details like the time. For example, you can say: “Hey Google, change my task to buy milk to 5:00 PM.”

In the Google Home app

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. At the top right, tap your Profile pictureor Initial.
3. Tap Home settings Gemini for Home voice assistant Tasks.
4. Tap the task you want to edit.
5. Select your preferences.

When you don’t need a task anymore, you can mark it as completed.

With your voice

You can close a task with your voice. For example, you can say: “Hey Google, mark my task to buy milk as completed.”

In the Google Home app

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. At the top right, tap your Profile pictureor Initial.
3. Tap Home settings Gemini for Home voice assistant Tasks.
4. Mark the circle next to the task you want to mark as completed.

With your voice

You can delete a single task or all of your tasks. For example, you can say "Hey Google," then:

• "Delete my task to empty the dishwasher"
• "Delete all of my tasks"

In the Google Home app

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. At the top right, tap your Profile pictureor Initial.
3. Tap Home settings Gemini for Home voice assistant Tasks.
4. Tap the task you want to delete.
5. Tap more Delete.

Set up Voice Match

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. At the top right, tap your Profile pictureor Initial.
3. Tap Home settings Google Assistant Voice Match.
4. The app shows all devices that support Voice Match. Tap a device to enable or disable Voice Match.

   • If you don’t have any devices with Voice Match enabled, tap Moreand follow the in-app steps.

   • You can also update your Voice Match settings in your Google Account. Refer to Set up & manage Voice Match for your Google Account .

Important:The option to set tasks for a certain location is no longer available. You can still set tasks for a certain time and set automations for some locations .
