Carrie Underwoodhas been absolutely killing it the last few days, stunning fans with the debut of her post-baby body at the CMT Music Awards and then again at CMA Music Fest. What makes her appearance even more impressive is the fact that she’s now revealed that she had a C-section with son Isaiah.
Carrie revealed the surprising news to E! last week.
“I couldn’t work out for a few weeks because I ended up having to have a cesarean—blah, blah, blah, too much information,” she said with a laugh.
TMI? More like holy mackerel! Having a baby and trying to lose the weight afterwards is hard enough. Trust me, it’s been 15 years since my last baby was born and I’m STILL working on those last 5 (or 100) pounds. Trying to get back into shape after they’ve basically gutted you like a fish to bring a precious new human being into the world? Makes how good Carrie looks just four months later even more ah-may-zing!
And while I’m sure a few people will throw out the normal “she’s paid to look beautiful” and “she’s rich so it’s easy” arguments, I still think she’s an inspiration.

Hey, I'm Shannon and I'm the founder and Queen Bee of this crazy place we call NashvilleGab. A few things about me - I'm pretty much a nerd, I'm obsessive about weird things, I suck at selfies, and I tend to make corny jokes that only truly awesome people will appreciate. Oh, and I'm the queen of the random comma. Don't say I didn't warn you.
