During your morning hustle and bustle, be sure to send out a quick prayer and some good vibes to Joey Feekfrom Joey+Rorywho is undergoing surgery in Chicago today.
Husband Rory posted the news to Facebook yesterday.
back in Chicago with my beautiful bride. Her surgery is at 10 am tomorrow morning. Praying and believing.
Posted by Joey and Rory on Wednesday, July 8, 2015
Rory recently revealed that Joey’s cervical cancer had returned, so the surgery is related to that. The good news is, despite what they’re going through, the couple haven’t let it get them down and even performed a concert over the holiday weekend, inviting 300 fans to one of their Farmhouse Concerts.
During the show, Joey opened up a bit and expressed her hope for the coming days.
“It was kind of a big shock to us. We didn’t see this coming,” Joey told the audience according to Rare.Us . Adding, “We have a lot of hope up there. You draw off of that, but more than anything, you draw off of Christ. We know that He’s already paved the way for us and He’s going to take care of me, no matter what.”
I’ll definitely be keeping Joey, Rory, and their precious daughter Indiana in my thoughts today and praying for many Farmhouse Concerts to come.
On a side note, the couple do have more shows planned starting July 30 , so definitely go out and support them if they’re coming to a venue near you.
Update:If you’d like to send Joey a card to show your support, Rory posted her temporary address on Facebook just a bit ago.
Rory wanted y’all to have Joey’s address for the next week in case you’d like to send her some love.

Hey, I'm Shannon and I'm the founder and Queen Bee of this crazy place we call NashvilleGab. A few things about me - I'm pretty much a nerd, I'm obsessive about weird things, I suck at selfies, and I tend to make corny jokes that only truly awesome people will appreciate. Oh, and I'm the queen of the random comma. Don't say I didn't warn you.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback about this page with us.
Whether it's praise for something good, or ideas to improve something that
isn't quite right, we're excited to hear from you.
Joey,
Please know that you are in my prayers and keep fighting. Cancer doesn’t
always mean a death sentence. I have been fighting kidney cancer for 10
years now. My doctor even once told me after I had my first visit with him
that he never expected to ever see me back in his office again. But
the Lord had other plans. Your faith is strong and we have to believe
and know what the Lord can do. He hears and answers prayer and he
knows how much your beautiful family needs you. I’m so sorry for all
that you are goiing through but keep trusting in Jesus.
Sincerely
Peggy Booth
