The 2024 Spotify Wrapped includes a special spotlight on Mariah Carey as fans from around the world continued to stream her hit songs throughout the year. In an action of gratitude, Mariah Carey recorded a heartfelt video message.
The message included Mariah showing off immense gratitude to fans and followers from around the globe. The global anthem, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” was at the top of the global charts during the holiday season.
In the video, Mariah goes off to say, “Thank you so much for listening to my music on Spotify. Your support through the year is the greatest gift I could ask for.”
The singer added, “This year we’re celebrating the 30th anniversary of my album ‘Merry Christmas.’ I hope you enjoy listening to it and I can’t wait to share new music with you soon.”
Mariah Carey was seen wearing a red and white Santa Claus dress in the video message. In the background, the viewers can see Christmas lighting hung around, adding to the ambiance.
The singer was wearing dark, bold red lipstick with her signature hairstyle. The video ended with Mariah blowing a kiss to her fans, and she had a butterfly ring on her fingers.
Following the release of the video, fans took to social media to share their thoughts about the setting. Fans were touched by this heartfelt act of Mariah, as she took time out of her busy schedule to show gratitude towards her fans.
However, there was another group of viewers that weren’t happy with the video. This group made some claims regarding Mariah’s appearance and the video setting.
Several fans speculated that the video released by Mariah Carey was AI-generated. And they had proof to back up this claim.
One fan commented under the video, saying, “For half a second, I literally thought this was AI earlier… you just look so perfect.” According to the viewers, Mariah’s smooth, radiant skin, and polished video visuals had to be an AI-effect.
