Patsy Cline’s life tragically came to an end when her plane crashed in Camden, Tennessee on 5th March 1963.
The plane met terrible weather, and the disaster happened at 6:20 p.m., killing all 4 on board, including Patsy. Others on board were 2 other country music stars Cowboy Copas, and Hawkshaw Hawkins.
The crash occurred in a woodland, when their small private aircraft, a Piper Comanche,encountered severe weather conditions around 90 miles from their intended location. They all succumbed to their injuries instantly.
The tragic event sent shockwaves throughout the music community, leaving everyone mourning the loss of these talented artists.
The weather conditions and the pilot’s lack of experience were blamed for the catastrophic plane crash that killed Patsy Cline. Patsy died at 30 years old in 2015, abandoning her better half, Charlie Dick , and their two small kids, Julie and Randy.
Julie was four years of age and Randy was only two when their dearest mother was snatched from them. The loss was profound, leaving her family and fans devastated and forever cherishing her memory and musical legacy.
