Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour will go down in history as one of the most successful tours ever.
Raking in a staggering $2.2 billion in ticket sales, the tour spanned three years of planning, rehearsals, and performances .
Swift also made headlines for her generosity, handing out $197 million in bonuses to her crew, including truck drivers, dancers, and makeup artists.
During the North American leg last year, she gave out an additional $55 million in bonuses and made donations to food banks in every city she visited.
Speaking to a sold-out crowd at BC Place stadium in Vancouver, Swift reflected on the emotional journey of the tour.
“This is the most fun, joyful, exciting, intense, powerful, and wonderful tour I have ever done, and that’s all because of the way that you have treated it,” she shared.
“I’ve never played this many shows on a tour before, and it’s just because I really never wanted it to end.”
With the tour finally over, sources close to Swift reveal that she’s planning to take a long hiatus.
“She’s told her team to give her one year,” an insider shared, adding that the singer intends to “stay in and hibernate for a while.”
For now, Swift is focusing on “normal things”with Kelce, who has been a strong source of support during the emotionally intense final leg of the tour.
Taylor Swift’s monumental Eras Tour, which spanned nearly two years generated an astounding $2.2 billion in ticket sales.
The tour, which began in March 2023 in Arizona, became a cultural phenomenon, attracting over 10 million concertgoers.
Throughout the tour, Swift’s boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, attended 14 performances, traveling across the world to support her, including shows in Singapore, Australia, and Germany.
Kelce, who couldn’t attend Swift’s final show in Vancouver due to NFL obligations, expressed his admiration for the tour’s success on the New Heights podcast.
He called it “the best tour in the world” and acknowledged Swift as its driving force.
During the final show, Swift honored Kelce by adapting her song “ Karma ” with the line, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,”a lyric she first introduced in November 2023.
With the tour’s end, the couple can now enjoy more time together, and Swift may attend more of Kelce’s Chiefs games.
In 2024, she attended five games so far, but with four more remaining, including one at home in Kansas City, she has opportunities to see her boyfriend play.
After spending Thanksgiving together last month, Swift and Kelce are gearing up for a cozy holiday season.
“They’re looking forward to the holidays,”a source shared, noting that the couple plans to savor some downtime after their hectic schedules.
Despite Kelce’s away game on December 15, the NFL star has been planning “extra special”celebrations for Swift’s 35th birthday on December 13.
Kelce has reportedly been shopping for gifts for months.
“Travis is not the type to leave these things to the last minute,” an insider revealed.
“Some of the gifts are things Taylor has casually mentioned she would like. Travis makes sure to always listen even when Taylor doesn’t realize he is.”
Both Swift and Kelce are known for going all out when it comes to gifts. Earlier this year, Kelce spent $14,000 on Valentine’s Day presents for Swift.
For Kelce’s 35th birthday in October, Swift reportedly spent $360,000, including renting out the iconic Formula One track at Monza, Italy, so Kelce could spend the day racing.
The end of the Eras Tour has brought a mix of emotions for Swift.
“This tour has been her life, and the people on the tour have been her family,” a source explained.
“As it draws to a close, she has been super emotional —leaning on Travis and her family more than ever.”
Swift’s friends are encouraging her to use this downtime to focus on her personal life.
“Taylor has everything she has ever wanted, and everyone who knows her believes she would make the best mom ever,” an insider shared.
While Swift hasn’t discussed starting a family recently, she has expressed interest in the past.
