One of the most anticipated events of the year, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, could be messed up by an upcoming storm.
Fans are getting ready for the shows in Miami, but there are worries about how the storm will affect traffic and safety.
Still, Swift fans are excited, and many are making last-minute plans to go to the shows.
Keep reading to know more details!
The long-awaited “Eras Tour” by Taylor Swift will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, from October 18th to October 20th, 2024. Fans have been looking forward to these shows for a long time.
They will be the last stop on the tour in Florida. But as Hurricane Milton , a strong Category 5 storm with winds of up to 180 mph, heads towards the west coast of the state, more and more Swift fans are worried that the shows might have to be canceled or moved.
Meteorologists say that Miami probably will not feel the full force of the hurricane, but the storm’s arrival has made people worry that traffic will be slowed down.
Fans are worried that their plans to go to the shows might not work out as planned, especially since people in the Tampa Bay area and other parts of Florida’s West Coast have already been told to leave their homes.
Some ticket holders, especially those coming from outside of Florida or other parts of Florida, are worried about how they will get to the event safely.
On social media, one fan asked, “Will the Eras Tour in Miami be canceled because of the hurricane?” Others shared the same worries, and some said that the weather had put their plans to go to Miami in danger.
Even so, meteorologists in the area, such as KC Sherman of CBS News, have told people in the area and at the concerts that Miami will not be hit hard by the storm.
Sherman said that the city will “get through just fine” even though it might rain and wind in Miami, which gives people hope that the Eras Tour will go as planned.
Fans are arguing about how the storm might affect the concert, but some Floridians, especially those in the hurricane’s path, are angry that so much attention is being paid to an event when so many lives are in danger.
Some people have said that the worry about the tour is not sensitive since people were told to leave and there was a chance of huge storm waves, floods, and wind damage.
A Tampa resident who had to leave their home and lose everything in Hurricane Helene a few weeks before made this point and urged others to put safety ahead of the event.
Taylor Swift has not said anything about it in public, so her fans are just hoping that the weather does not get in the way of what has become one of the most talked-about shows of the year.
Swift fans are rushing to Miami to see one of the Eras Tour performances, even though Hurricane Milton is coming.
A lot of people are going without tickets in the hopes of finding a deal on-site, where prices can go as high as $11,550 on sites like StubHub .
Because so many Swifties are coming, hotel costs have gone through the roof. For example, the Loews Miami Beach Hotel has rooms starting at $700, but they are all taken on Saturday and Sunday.
Managing Director Mutlu Kucukeven said that Swift’s tour was like the Formula One Grand Prix in Miami in terms of how it affected the economy.
Fans who do not have a place to stay can still find options on Airbnb. Prices start at $45 per night before taxes. Some fans, like Annie Lawrence, want to see the show even though they do not have seats.
Lawrence had seen Swift perform in Nashville in May 2023 and wanted to go again after the setlist had been changed.
She and her friend planned a cheap trip to Miami, even though they did not have tickets.
They spent less than $300 each on flights, an Airbnb in Fort Lauderdale, and a rental car. She has an Instagram account called @ aswiftiestory that has more than 60,000 followers.
She is excited to meet with other people, even if she does not get into the show.
Special trips and activities just for Swifties For people going to Miami, unique ways to travel have been made, like the Brightline “Sing-Along Train” from Orlando with a Taylor Swift theme.
On this train, fans can sing and trade friendship bracelets on their way to the show. It will leave from Orlando and stop in West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale on its way to the Hard Rock Stadium.
Prices for this trip start at $209one-way for business class and go up to $309for first class.
For $99, you can leave from South Florida and get a transfer to the stadium. At Hard Rock Stadium, parking passes can only be bought by people who have performance tickets. Fans who do not have tickets will be asked to leave by security.
Many Swift fans, on the other hand, plan to “Taylor-gate,” which means they will gather near the venue to sing and dance together.
The Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau has put together special events for the city to celebrate Taylor Swift’s popularity.
These include dance nights, friendship bracelet stations, and hotels with Swift-themed activities.
Next on Swift’s Eras Tour are New Orleans (Oct. 25–27), Indianapolis (Nov. 1-3), Toronto (Nov. 14–16 and 21–23), and Vancouver (Dec. 6–8).
As Hurricane Milton could make it hard for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows in Miami, On November 29, 2024, Taylor Swift’s record The Tortured Poets Department: The Antholog y will be released in physical form.
This version will only be sold at Target. This 31-track version of her 11th solo album, which came out earlier this year digitally, will now also be available on vinyl and CD.
The new album will have four acoustic extra tracks, and the vinyl version will have a Swift picture as well. The news comes after the album’s original release on April 19, 2024, with only 16 tracks.
Just hours later, 15 more songs were added, making the total number of tracks on the album 31. Along with the record, Swift will also be releasing Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour Book on November 29. This book will only be sold at Target.
This 256-page coffee table book will have more than 500 photos from Swift’s record-breaking tour, including pictures from performances and rehearsals, as well as Swift’s thoughts.
The book, which costs $39.99, is likely to be a hit with Swifties, who are her fans. Swift called the tour a “wonderful experience,” and she wrote on Instagram that she wanted to remember the good times with this special book.
There will now be 35 songs on Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. These include “ Thank You, Aimee,” “ The Black Dog,” and “ So High School,” a song she wrote for her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
The record had an amazing first week at the top of the Billboard 200, where it stayed for 15 weeks in a row.
Amazingly, all 31 songs from The Anthology were on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. For the first time in chart history, Swift held the top 14 places.
The electro-pop hit “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” and the single “Fortnight” with Post Malone helped make the record a worldwide hit.
Swift changed her live show in May to include songs from The Tortured Poets Department during her record-setting Eras Tour.
Her huge set list got even bigger with songs like “ But Daddy I Love Him,” “ Down Bad,” and “ The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” hits like “ Fortnight” and “ I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”
After a two-month break, the Eras Tour starts up again in Miami on Friday. The tour began in March 2023.
The tour will also stop in New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Toronto. From December 6th to December 8th, just before Swift’s 35th birthday, there will be three last shows in Vancouver.
