When it comes to jaw-dropping stunts and showmanship, Hollywood legend Tom Cruise never disappoints.
His latest spectacle, however, took things to an entirely new level.
During an extravagant ceremony that turned the iconic Hollywood sign into Olympic rings, Cruise made a heart-stopping jump from the roof of the stadium, leaving spectators in awe.
The event was not just a handover for the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Games, but a masterclass in Hollywood flair, complete with a star-studded lineup of performances.

Tom Cruise is no stranger to stunts that push the boundaries of what’s humanly possible.
From scaling skyscrapers to hanging off planes, he’s done it all. But his latest feat might just take the cake.
In front of a packed stadium, Cruise, dressed in his signature Top Gun black leather jacket, made a death-defying leap from the roof, landing safely on the ground to rapturous applause.
As if jumping from a great height wasn’t enough, once back on terra firma, Cruise was handed the five-ringed Olympic flag by none other than Olympic gymnast Simone Biles and the Mayor of Los Angeles.
Without missing a beat, he loaded the flag onto the back of a waiting motorcycle and, in true Cruise fashion, sped out of the arena while standing up, leaving the audience both exhilarated and amazed.

But the spectacle didn’t end with Cruise. The handover ceremony also featured electrifying performances by some of California’s finest musical talents.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, and Snoop Dogg took the stage, giving the crowd a taste of what’s to come at the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers kicked things off with their iconic hit “Can’t Stop,” setting the tone for the night.
As the Olympic flag made its journey across the Atlantic, it arrived at Venice Beach, where the band was playing to an energized crowd.
Their performance was nothing short of legendary, and as the last chords of “Can’t Stop” rang out, they handed the stage over to Billie Eilish.
Dressed in her signature oversized T-shirt, shorts, and a baseball cap, Eilish captivated the audience with a heartfelt rendition of her new track “Birds Of A Feather.”
Her soulful voice echoed across the beach, offering a moment of serenity amidst the evening’s high-energy festivities.
Not to be outdone, Snoop Dogg made his grand entrance, performing his classic track “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”
Joined by fellow rapper Dr. Dre, the duo brought a slice of West Coast hip-hop to the Olympic celebration, with Snoop’s laid-back style perfectly complementing the vibe of the event.
His presence was the cherry on top of an already star-studded night, solidifying the ceremony as one for the history books.
While the musical performances were a highlight, the entire ceremony was packed with unforgettable moments—some of them bordering on the surreal.
The night featured a “golden bee-man” descending into the stadium, a floating pianist playing a haunting melody while suspended in the air, and dancers wrapped in what appeared to be toilet paper, adding a touch of the bizarre to the evening.
The show took an even more whimsical turn when the golden voyager was lowered from the roof onto the stage.
This mysterious figure, cloaked and carrying a Greek flag, represented the ancient origins of the Olympic Games.
Accompanied by acrobats dressed as alien-like creatures, the voyager embarked on a symbolic journey to discover the Olympic rings, which were later hoisted dramatically from the stadium floor.
In a poignant moment, French pianist and opera singer Benjamin Bernheim performed “Hymn To Apollo,” while composer Alain Roche played a grand piano suspended in mid-air.
The hauntingly beautiful music added a layer of elegance to the otherwise eccentric ceremony .
As the ceremony drew to a close, the spirit of the Olympics remained palpable.
Athletes from around the world stormed the stage, in what can only be described as a “pitch invasion,” as a film highlighting the victories and failures of the Games played in the background.
Despite announcements in both French and English urging the competitors to clear the stage, many refused to budge, choosing instead to dance, jump, and wave their arms in celebration.
This chaotic yet joyous scene was a fitting end to the Paris 2024 Games, embodying the very essence of the Olympics—unity, passion, and a shared love for sport.
Paris 2024 organizer Tony Estanguet took to the stage to thank everyone involved in making the Games a success, from the volunteers to the security forces, and most importantly, the athletes.
His speech was met with thunderous applause, as he praised the competitors for lifting the spirits of everyone who participated or watched the Games, even going so far as to mention the whale that photobombed the surfing final in Tahiti.
In a lighter moment, Estanguet also shared that among the many records broken during the Games, one of the most memorable was the number of marriage proposals made during the competition.
As the dust settled on the Paris 2024 Games, all eyes turned towards Los Angeles and the promise of what’s to come in 2028.
If the handover ceremony is anything to go by, the next Olympics will be a spectacular blend of Hollywood glamour, musical talent, and of course, world-class athleticism.
With Tom Cruise leading the charge, it’s clear that the 2028 Los Angeles Games are set to be an unforgettable celebration of sport, culture, and entertainment.
