The National Geographic Society reports that a female mummy(ミイラ)has been found in a ceremonial burial site on Peru's north coast, near Trujillo. The mummy, believed to have been a woman from the Moche culture, has complex tattoos covering both arms. She was buried with items including gold, gemstones, and more puzzlingly, war clubs(こん棒), which are not usually found with females. Researchers are suggesting that the woman was a female warrior.
