Many radiologists(放射線技師)evaluate CT scans and other medical images on a computer screen and have little or no direct contact with their patients. In an intriguing(興味をそそる)new Israeli study, researchers found that radiologists performed better and reported more detailed findings when photographs of patients were included in their medical files. The radiologists reported feeling more empathy(感情移入、共感)for patients whose faces they were shown, and as a result, they were more meticulous(注意深い、綿密な)when examining those patients' files.
