On Friday, April 10th, the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Dr. Rui Maria de Araújo, asked local authorities to mobilize the population for the general cleaning. This initiative is intended to allow public servants to gradually stop this activity. The Prime Minister's request followed a meeting with officials of the Ministry of State Administration (MSA), at Dom Aleixo Administrative Post, in Díli. MSA is responsible for organizing this activity, in order to raise awareness to the problem of waste and create a healthy environment. (Government of Timor-Leste, 13 April 2015)
