I ordered the 1,500 yen lunch set (a little more with tax), and it was honestly amazing. The sushi was fresh and perfectly prepared, and every single piece tasted better than I remembered.
The set came with a bowl of miso soup made with aosa seaweed. It was rich and comforting, and I could tell they used good-quality miso. There was also chawan-mushi (steamed egg) included, and they served hot green tea without asking. Everything felt generous and thoughtful.
There is also a 980 yen lunch set, which is the cheapest option, and I’m sure it would still be satisfying—especially for someone who doesn’t want a big meal. But choosing the 1,500 yen set was absolutely the right decision. I left full and very happy.
The Tsukiji Sushi Zanmai I visited has recently been renovated, so the space was clean, bright, and welcoming. Affordable, delicious, and comfortable—such a good balance.
After lunch, I walked toward Shiodome and continued through Shimbashi, Ginza, and even Tokyo Station. It’s a beautiful walking route, with lots of windows to browse and areas to wander. A perfect slow afternoon.
