I met ‘morning commuters rush’ in trains at 9 o’clock in weekday after a long time.
I entered a girls junior high school and for 17 years- since 12 years old until I married- my life was inseparable from commuters and students ‘hell’ rush hour.
I thought it is a matter of course to take more than an hour to go my destinations by Keio Line after using a bus from my home to the nearest station.
Nothing starts until I go to the nearest station and door of the world does not open until I get on Keio Line!
This is the only lifeline to midtown of Tokyo.

However, my life changed dramatically after I moved in Minato, located inside of Yamanote Line.
My vector, simply run toward east by Keio Line, expands to front and behind, right and left. Sometimes I can go to destinations by bike and walk, means they are close from my home.

In ‘ALIVE’ the real estate company I work, I hear Azabu and Shirokane are popular areas to customers who look for a house in Minato but Mita (my area) and Shiba are not so popular for them. It is true that there are many companies in Mita area and a huge building of NEC is symbolic. It has some cold atmosphere without quiet residential streets. Still, I want to promote this area with its convenient transportation net!

There are 5 lines 4 stations if you ask me ‘Where is your nearest staion?’
Akabane- bashi (Oedo Line), Tamachi (JR Line), Mita (Asakusa Line/ Mita Line),
Azabu-jyuban(Namboku Line). The office of my husband Ken changed from Otemachi to Shibuya, but it takes just 30 minutes to both stations from home.
Normally we do not have to change trains wherever we go.

For example,
Having sushi dinner in Tsukiji? Just 12 minutes from Akabane-bashi.
Watching movie in Uraku-cyo? Just 10 minutes from Tamachi.
To Tokyo Disney Land with kids? Just 30 minutes from Tamachi, through Tokyo.
We use Asakusa Line to Higashi-Ginza, Tokaido Line to Yokohama and Keikyu Line to Haneda Airport from Shinagawa.
Do you know more convenient place in Tokyo?
We can not find any reason to buy a car when we see crazy gas price.
(Actually we can not pay parking fee---)

Anyway, this is the real ‘center of Tokyo’, and I recommend Mita area to anyone who wants to find a house in Minato!
