All Eyes on Spain for Peace Cup 2009

The eyes of the footballing world will be on Spain during the coming week as the Peace Cup 2009 competition unfolds. The competition features some of the top teams in the world, including Juventus of Italy, Aston Villa from England, and previous champions Lyon of France. But the real interest will be in the performance of the revitalized hosts, Real Madrid, who recently added four new players at a cost of over $200m, including the record-breaking signing of Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo, perhaps the best known player in the world, is expected to make his home debut in the Bernebeu stadium on Sunday.
