When you create your radar, you do not have to use the same groups and classification as ThoughtWorks, although I recommend you do, at least for the classification.

Start small, reviewing the major choices you already have and proposing their classification. From that point on, it is a matter of periodically — every quarter — updating and sharing among your teams.

This will make sure they are aware and can contribute with new entries and challenges to the existing ones.

This usually comes from thinking that this radar is devised by those far away from the actual development process. While that can happen, it does not need to be like that.

The first version is closely related to making an audit of the major things we use and at least trying to discuss them on their merits. This can and should take place with the involvement of the developers.

The radar is not a static thing, and should be revisited periodically so you can incorporate the feedback and adjust as new items appear in the horizon.

I see no value

The value of the radar can be hard to see on a day-to-day basis. At this scale, it serves as a first line of questioning. Whenever someone approaches with the idea of using X , you may quickly look and if X is there, especially at the Adopt phase, have a green light as a viable candidate.

As you zoom out a bit, and definitely for companies in a growth spurt, it will be another tool to make sure you don´t diverge too much and end up with a Tower of Babel.

Conclusion
結論

Building a tech radar is something that can expose interesting insights of your company’s current ecosystem and help to democratize the knowledge and help with future decisions.
技術レーダーの構築は、企業の現在のエコシステムに関する興味深い洞察を明らかにし、知識を民主化し、将来の意思決定を支援することができるものです。

I recommend you give it a try, even if at first you use ThoughtWorks radar as is. You will already benefit from the work done to reach its conclusions and maybe inspire you to adopt (assess, trial or hold) the use of a specific technology, tool, platform or language.
最初は ThoughtWorks のレーダーをそのまま使うとしても、試してみることをお勧めします。あなたはすでにその結論に達するために行われた作業から利益を得るでしょうし、おそらく特定の技術、ツール、プラットフォーム、または言語の使用を採用 ( 評価、試用、または保持 ) するよう、あなたを鼓舞するでしょう。
