「The superb N.V. Cramant Grand Cru B de B, a blend of the 1988 and 1989 vintages, is a Champagne of considerable ripeness (apples, wheat thins, and honey are the predominant aromas). Frothy, but without any aggressiveness to the effervescence, this medium-bodied, ripe, layered Champagne is a noteworthy example of just what high quality can be obtained by some of the smaller artisanal houses in the Champagne region. It is intensely flavored, but never heavy or ponderous. Drink this dry wine over the next 4-6 years. I have been buying Larmandier's Champagnes since importer Neal Rosenthal began to represent them.
