凄いボリューム～神保町「さぼうる２」のカレー　　Huge Portions — Curry at Jimbocho’s Saboru 2

神保町でおそらく最も著名な喫茶店（のひとつ）である「さぼうる」。いつも混んでいてなかなか入れないのだが、この日、遅いランチに出かけたら、行列ができていなかったので、「さぼうる２」の方に入ってみた。

「さぼうる」は飲み物だけでもOKだが「さぼうる２」は食事が必須。メガ盛りのナポリタンで有名である。

この日注文したのはそのナポリタンでなく、ビーフカレー。というのも、前日の昼にパスタを食べたばかりだったからだ。そのビーフカレーもまたすごいボリュームだった。写真ではわかりずらいが、ルーの中に牛肉の塊がゴロゴロと入っている。

なんとか完食したが、午後は睡魔に襲われて仕事にならなかった（笑）。
店内の客は９割以上がナポリタンを注文していた。私も次回はナポリタンを食べてみようと思う。

Sabouru is probably one of the most famous coffee shops in Jimbocho. It’s usually so crowded that getting in is difficult, but on this day, when I went out for a late lunch, there was no line—so I decided to try Sabouru2 instead.

At Saboru you can just have drinks, but at Saboru 2 you’re expected to order food. It’s especially known for its mega-sized Napolitan.

That said, I didn’t go for the Napolitan this time—I ordered the beef curry, mainly because I’d had pasta the day before. As it turned out, the curry was just as massive. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the sauce was packed with large chunks of beef.

I somehow managed to finish it, but the food coma hit me hard afterward—I could barely get any work done in the afternoon (laughs).

More than 90% of the customers were ordering the Napolitan. Next time, I think I’ll go with that.
