オバマ大統領が本日広島にやってきてスピーチを行いました。
「それほど遠くない過去に起きた恐ろしい出来事を深く考えるためにここにやって来
ました。ここで命を落とした何１０万人もの日本国民の方たち、何千人もの朝鮮の方
たち、そして何十人かのアメリカ人捕虜の方々の追悼をするために来ました。その魂
が私たちに語りかけています。私たちが一体何者なのか、そしてどのようになろうと
しているかをきちんと考えるように求めています。」と。
彼は原爆を落としたことについて謝罪しませんでしたが、十分に哀悼の意と友情を示
しました。多くの被爆者達は涙ぐんでいました。私は彼の勇気と平和に対する情熱を
称賛します。
ならないと思いました。
President Obama visited Hiroshima and spoked today. “ Why do we come to
this place, to Hiroshima? We come to ponder a terrible force unleashed in
the not so distant past. We come to mourn the dead, including over 100,000
Japanese men, women and children, thousands of Koreans and a dozen Americans
held prisoner. Their souls speak to us. They ask us to look inward to take
stock of who we are and what we might become. “
He did not apologize about the falling atomic bomb, but he showed mourning
and the friendship deeply. Many atomic bomb victims were moved to tears. I
admire his courage and passion for the peace.
I thought we must strive to build a peace world without atomic bomb with
