今年も英語科教育法を担当している。
本当に久々のブログである。
今年は今までの試行錯誤を乗り越えて受講生には
授業の始めに中学校の英語教科書の音読を約10分ほど
行ってもらっている。
やさしい英語をどれだけ手短に感情を込めて、発音や
抑揚に誤りなく音読できるかは受講生が一二年後に
教育実習生として教壇に立つときに役に立つ。
音読の効用は古くは我が恩師の一人国弘正雄氏、最近では
詳しく触れておられるので省略する。
音読でせっかく英語モードに切り替えさせたので
携帯電話を使ってもう一工夫。
DAily YomiuriのFlash Newsにアクセスして、その日の
ニュースを5分で書き取ってもらっている。
これは彼らが黒板に向かい例文を書くのを見ていて
あまりの遅さにもっと早くしっかりと一定の英文を
書かせようと発案した。レベルは英検の2級から准1級
である。書き取った順に以下のような模範解答を
渡して、全文のチェックをさせている。
正確な文を早く読むことに慣らせる。同時に友と
おいてこそ英語は上達する。
チェックの後に書き取った文に関する質問を掲げて
英文への集中度を高める。
以下が例文である。
例文は本日のDaily Yomiuriから引用。
