I got an offer from my boss to introduce to a recruiter, just like the lay off manual I've heard they make at the company.

I knew that I was vulnerable to get laid off because I was a transfer from a company that was merged into my current company, but I felt really bad when I was actually told that.

Moreover, my boss laughed and told me that there was no position for you anymore and that I should definitely work for another company!
I was pissed off that he kept saying that to me.

I repeated at least five times, pretending not to realize that I was being told to leave the company, that I would like to find a new position at this company.

My boss repeated that the job you are doing is being downsized and even if a position were to open up, there would be no filling it.
He repeatedly told me that I should definitely talk to a recruiter!! That's must be great.

ok, If it's so good, why don't you go yourself?

That night I couldn't sleep because I was looking up information about the lay off of the company I was working for.
and I found labor union .
The company I work for is famous for their lay off every year, so the labor union is strong, and I immediately contacted them and yesterday  I became a labor union member!! 

Next Monday, HR will be notified of my union membership and my boss will be informed from the HR.

In Japan, it is very difficult for a company to fire a full-time employee.

It is even more difficult to fire a union member.

Because firing a union member is considered as an attempt to dissolve the labor union.

Of course the company brainwashes new employees into believing that labor unions are a bunch of freaks, and that if you become a member, you will never get promoted.

Because if there are more union members, they won't be able to fire employees.

The company only want young people who work like horses for low wages and want to throw them away if they become depressed from overworking.

That's why the company never wants to increase the number of union members.

If you are a manager and a number of your people join union membership, you will no longer be promoted!

You will drop out of the career track.

My boss would be very impatient.

I don't care if I were treated like a freak in the company because I was willing to quit, and I'm not interested in being promoted, If this goes to court with the company, of course I'm going to fight.

I have my regular meeting with my boss next Tuesday, I'll report what they said next time!
