In fact, I don't know why so many American people are anti-health care reform... Thanks to (Japanese) National health insurance, we don't have to pay at all for my kids' medical care in our city. I believe that the state should adopt this system as soon as possible in order to cut wasteful spending for medicare... Do many people who support Tea Party movement really want to continue to spend huge money for medical insurance?
When my son underwent on operation for middle ear infection in 2003, we paid about $6000! (In fact, my husband's company paid.) It would have been less than $ 100 if he had had the operation in Japan.
