羽田一帯は、もともと穴守稲荷神社の門前町でもあった。
Before the war, the shrine sat inside today's Haneda Airport. But, with the ending of the war and the eviction of residents in neighboring areas, the shrine too was transferred to it present location. Although there were several proposals over the years to take down the shrine, a series of mysterious accidents fell upon those involved in the construction and the shrine escaped the threats of tear down thanks to those in fear of the "curse."
