昨日セミナーに参加してきました

I attended a seminar yesterday.

​『IT業界の歴史とAIの現状』

The topic was "History of the IT Industry and the Current State of AI."

​なかなか面白かったです。

It was quite interesting!

​色々な物のスマート化やAIが作成した文章やイラストには著作権があるかなど… 興味をそそられました。

I was very interested in things like the smartification of various objects, and whether text and illustrations created by AI have copyrights.

​還暦を過ぎITやAIに疎い私ですら、スマホを普段から何気なく触っているうちにGemini(アンドロイドスマホ)のアプリがいつの間にか目に触れる用になり、色々な事を相談しています。

Even for me, a person over 60 who is unfamiliar with IT and AI, the Gemini app (on my Android phone) naturally caught my attention while I was just using my smartphone, and I started asking it various things.

​実は趣味の車中泊のプラン等もAIが7割ほど決めてくれて感謝しています。

Actually, I am thankful because the AI decided about 70% of my car camping plans!

​ それにこのプログの英訳も瞬時にやってくれます。

Also, it instantly translates my blog posts into English.

​それも私の英語力に合わせて、あえて中学生レベルに訳し、ポイントの説明までしてくれます。

It even intentionally translates them to a junior high school level to match my English skills and explains the key points.

​有名な言葉で、「強い人間、賢い人間が生き残れる訳ではない。 変われる人間こそが生き残れる」とありますが、

There is a famous saying: "It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive, but those who can best manage change."

​私もAI に頼りっきりは良くないと思いますが、より良い人生を送るためにも、『変化』を恐れず、より良い『活用』をしていきたいと思います。

I know relying too much on AI is not good, but to live a better life, I want to embrace "change" and use AI effectively.

​それこそAI調べによると、「スマートハウスとは、IT技術（情報技術）を駆使して、家の中の設備や家電を自動でコントロールし、エネルギー消費を最適化する住宅」とあります。

According to AI research, a "Smart House" is a home that uses IT to automatically control its equipment and appliances, optimizing energy use.

​我が家は古い日本家屋ですが、最近、ちょっとしたことで、とても便利になりました。

My house is an old Japanese style house, but recently, a small change made things very convenient.

それは廊下の電球を人感センサー付きに変えたのですが、夜中に部屋を出た瞬間に灯りが付き、人が去れば消えてくれます。
I changed the hallway light to one with a motion sensor. The light turns on the moment I step out of the room at night, and turns off when I walk away.

スマートハウスにはほど遠いですが、これも最適化の1つなんだろうなぁって感じました。

This is far from a smart house, but I felt like this is also a kind of optimization.

​(口径E17は市販品が見つからず、ネットでようやく見つけました)

(I couldn't find the E17 base size in stores, but finally found one online.)

​これからも少しづつ、AIから学びより良い『変化』をしていきたいと思います。

I want to continue learning from AI and making positive "changes," little by little.
