Discover Japan
Ｉn the end of October, I met the scene the walking frock of children.
Among them, wearing the costume which is popular of cartoon or a hero of movie,
saying "trick and treat". It may be today's fashion in Japan, I am sorry I
may stand on the old place.But we have more significant local events, so I
hope we discover Japan, and we need it.
For example, one of them is Tukimi or Moon Viewing, once we, Japanese,
admired the beautiful harvest moon, with offering pampas grass, "Botamoti" or
an oval-shaped sweet made from sticky rice, coated with sweet red-bean paste,
up on a veranda.
In my childhood, we were permitted to steal those offerings from stands.
It was a kind of the initiation for the proof of growing older. I knew,
later, such custom was in old-Greece, Sparta, well known Spartan education
origin. And trace of the custom remains in the story "Jack and Beanstalk", some
folklorists said. Surely, Sparta was a military city-state, we will not be
able to adopt them all, but in some points, there is the value of education
for adolescent ages. Today, age is corresponds to from the late of primary
education to secondary education in our school system.
This is a kind of test for the examining wisdom and courage of children. To
steal needs making the wisdom, tactics and strategy. Children, grown up,
business, they need like those secrets, especially in global era.
In these days, children are spending the most time of a day, in school with
same ages schoolmates. The more time in school is, the weaker communication
skill becomes.
Traditional Japanese events, seasonal events give us chances for training
local.
Our Japan belongs to Temperature Zone on the earth, blessed the rich
nature, it makes us happy, and brings up mild personality. Therefore, after the
Age of Discovery, with sophisticated armed people came to the East. They
plundered and dominated in those regions. Japan was cleverer than the other
eastern countries, later we know that it was unhappy situation.
And now, we should know a peace under coexistence and Japan would take an
important role of coordinator between West and East, Human beings and
Nature. Because, we are a polytheist. From now on, we, Japan, and Asian monsoon
countries and regions have a roll of making change the world, together.
Lately, some educated Westerners have come to be popular in TV program
such as C.W.Nicol, Robert Cambell, Venetia and Pulvers, etc.
Developed transportation system and communication system, the earth could
be closer and closer. And we try to keep up or brush up English as practical
tool, through U、、、. And with indigenous idea, we have deeply appreciated
the beauty of autumn leaves. End.
