昨日４/29は国民の祝日で地域の運動会であった。我々は朝7時半からテントの準備を
しなければならなった。私はいくつかのゲームに出場した。我々のチーム成績は15
チーム中最下位であった。我々は綱引きやリレーで負けてしまった。リレーを見てい
た時、私の学校時代を思いだした。私は非常に走るのが遅くて、一度以外は決して入
賞することはなかった。私は一度だけ一位になった。それというのは私が遅すぎたの
で私の前のランナーが続けて転んだのに離れていた私は転ばなくて一等賞になったの
である。未だに鮮明に思い出す。
全てのゲームが終わった後、我々役員はパーティを開き随分飲んだ。それが終わった
後4人が我が家に押しかけ、随分遅い時間だったのに妻は日本酒とおいしい御馳走で
地域の自治会長とその妻にとって大変ハードの一日であった。
Yesterday, 4/29th was a national holiday and we had a community sport event
in my town.
We had to prepare the tent from early morning at 7.30. I attended several games.
Our team's order of merit was last in 15 teams . We were beaten in the game of
tug-of -war and relay race. While I was watching the relay games, I remembered
my school days. I was a very slow runner and never got the prize but an
one chance. I got only one time the first prize because all runners
front of me fell down, but I didn’t fall as I was too slow to close them.
I remember those days clearly.
After all games were finished , we officers had a party and drunk too much.
wine and delicious food although it was very late . It was a hard day for me as a
president of the community as well as for my wife.
