女子バスケットボール関東実業団リーグに所属する山梨クインビーズは日曜日の新潟戦に惜敗して18連敗を喫してしまった。選手は皆昼間学校とか会社で働いて夜練習している。私の病院にも看護師や事務職として4人が働いている。そのうちの一人は健康管理課の受付や事務業務を行っており毎日顔を合わせている。1番早く来て終業時は4時半に帰らせてもらって練習している。ひざなどには擦り傷が絶えない。病院の仕事にベストをつくしてくれて、バスケでも成績が良ければいいが18連敗、仕事に打ち込む姿を見ていると何とかしてやりたい思うがどうすることも出来ない。彼女らは間違いなく全力で戦っている。だけど相手がそれ以上に強かったのだ。ベストを尽くしているのだから泣かなくてよい。きっといつかは勝てるものだ。諦めないで頑張ってもらいたいと思う。
Yamanashi Queenbees belonging to the women's basketball Kanto business association league were defeated
by Niigata team on Sunday and suffered 18 consecutive defeats.
All the athletes of Queenbees work at school or company during daytime and practice at night.
Four athletes work in my hospital as nurses or clerks.
One of them works as receptionist or administrator at the Health Administration Division and I am seeing
face to face every day.
She comes to work arlier than anybody in the morning and works till 4.30 PM.
There are a lot of scratches on her knees and so on by the playing basketball.
even with 18 consecutive loses.
I can not do anything althoug I want to help them as they are devoted work.
They are definitely fighting with full power. But the opponents were stronger than them.
You do not cry because you are doing your best.
Surely, you can win one day. I want you to work hard and not give up.
