On May 25th (May 26th Japan time), Dodgers pitcher Shohei Ohtani hit his 18th leadoff home run in the first inning of a game against the Mets.
It was a much-anticipated matchup with pitcher Kodai Senga. With the count at 1-0, Ohtani perfectly caught a 152 km/h fastball. It was his fourth leadoff home run of the season. The ball was launched at a speed of 108.2 mph (about 174.1 km/h), traveled 411 feet (about 125.3 meters), and hit an extra-large arch at an angle of 31 degrees into the top row of the right field stands.
