Each of us carries our own unique “self-imposed chains” within our hearts.
For example, these might be thoughts like “I must be loved by others,” “I must be smart,” or “I must be number one”—and in most cases, we may not even be aware of them.
However, these “thoughts that bind us” are “beliefs” formed from past experiences and what we’ve been taught by those around us—things we’ve taken on at some point in our lives, convinced that “I have no value unless I do this.”
These are not the truth.
The reason you “feel bad” is simply because you’ve come to believe in “old notions that don’t align with your true self.”
In other words, it is precisely because this energy is not the truth that you feel this discomfort.
You can discover your “invisible chains” through these unpleasant feelings.
Take a moment to pause and ask yourself, “Why did hearing this make me feel bad?” Then, dig deeper into that feeling. There, you will find the “thoughts that bind you.”
