the lunar New Year. So in the chat room of Englishtown, they, whose cultures follow Chinese one, seemed very excited!
They have two New Year's Day. But the lunar New Year is much more important than Jan. 1st for them. They say, "Happy New Year!" on this day, and acturally, in the chat room, I could often hear the word "Happy New Year!" exchanging.
One woman told me that she had cleaned her room and washed her clothes to celebrate this lunar New Year. She was supposed to visit her relatives and parents. And there was a woman from taiwan talling me that she was going shopping. They sounded happy!
If I hadn't joined Englishtown, I woudn't have known the fact that today is the most important day in the countries which have a Chinese culture. Thanks, Englishtown. And "Happy New Year!" from me!
