As a born app hoarder myself, I can't spend weeks downloading more and more apps. Apps are appealing, attractive, and more than anything, they give me a sense of security that I have things to keep me going. I know it's pessimistic and disastrous, but people like that are trying to lead the life they want the way they want it to be. I'm also a book hoarder and being surrounded by them gives me comfort. I know, I'm a bit delusional and mental. I'm mildly surprised by how my writing looks like a mess in hindsight. But it's ok, this is a good English writing practice after all.

It just came to my mind that I should enjoy and love boredom to have a fulfilling life. When I chase exciting things I prone to end up feeling disappointed in myself, thinking why is my life filled with mundane and uninteresting stuff. But if you think about it, if you get to cherish your daily routine your life can be much more entertaining and enriched. I do hope to get to that state and yes, I will grab it.

This is the last year of my 30's, and I'm about to get crazy just thinking about it. How are those who are in the same situation handling this turmoil! I don't think I can ever get past this...It's been so long since I last updated my blog. Come to think of it, I lost my interest in writing it, and kind of concluded it would be no meaning in writing a blog every single day. But deciding that with my own accord feels kind of selfish now. It's not me who gets to decide if people enjoy my writing. It's actually you who gets to decide if you're gonna keep reading this. So thank you so much for sticking with me. Turning 40 next year would be not that much of a big deal anyway, and I want to laugh it out. Hopefully 🤞

Usually when things don't feel to be going right, what you should suspect is your perspective. It's in your head that everything is against you, but is it? That person who's trying to train you could be from sheer enthusiasm that he might sound a little condescending sometimes. But is there really nothing you can't learn from him? In any situation you're in where you feel it's totally out of question, there's always a seed of improving yourself in the future. So whatever situation you're in, you can grow yourself, learn something new and leverage it to your advantage, but only when you believe you can.

This is some random shit I just came up with.my goal is to get Japanese people to feel comfortable speaking in English with an imperfect grammar and pronunciation. You don't have to sound like a native speaker to start using it and communicating with it. You can start it today. The mindset is key, though. You should enjoy the learning process so that you get never discouraged by negative comments that try to push you down. You have to be determined and strong to not get swayed by people's unbacked irrational opinions. Are you ready? I hope so 😊 from now on, I'm going to share what I'm going through at work and in daily lives as well as how sometimes life can throw you curve balls and you can get thrown under the bus. But just remember: you are not alone! We're all in this together. We should commend us that we're trying to become better at what we do, and what we all need is the right mindset that we never get sidetracked from where we're heading. So don't be afraid of who you really are, and keep moving forward at our own very pace. peace! ✌️

of all the timing, why in the world did i get Covid? But when I think about the increasing amount of flu patients and the record number of flu cases around Japan, I can't complain. anyway, I've been thinking about how I can use my own blog for a good cause, not just for my own sake, but maybe for visitors who randomly come across my page. Of course this will be a great place for me to rant and dump my thoughts that need to get out of my head ( I can just say that it's an outlet but anyhow), but it'd be more informative and hold me accountable if there's something valuable in what I share.so here's my thoughts. Since I'm reading regularly, I'm going to share some insights and vocab I learned from an English book in a simple way so it won't look too complicated or over our head. How does it sound? To be honest, I'm in a rut going in 40's in a few years, and experiencing some kind of middle crisis. So if I don't take some actions now, I know I'd regret so much. ok, I'm done. I feel a bit better now thanks to releasing my thoughts here. for anyone out there who reads my blog, thank you, you mean a lot.

I'm going to restart posting my thoughts on life and work here again. The thing is, when I was making a habit of writing a diary here, my English seemed to get better and better. I didn't realize it back then, but thinking in English and writing it onto paper (technically a screen) seems to help a lot with changing my brain into the English mode. actually, I've been thinking about the purpose of learning English spending a lot of money and effort, which I'm not sure if it's worth it. Do you even need a meaning to it? But the love or passion itself is not enough sometimes.. I like knowing psychological strategies and methods to have a productive life, not specifically implementing it into my daily lives. For me, getting myself acquainted with the ideas introduced in books and imagining myself living productively makes me feel content. I think I'll do whatever I like to do in English, and see where it takes me. Life is good!English Collocations in Use 2/E Intermediate Book with answers

I know there should be a better fit for the title, but my mind needs to be decluttered right now, so I won't change it.I felt out of sorts today working from home, and it just felt time passes by in so much vein."Am I living a meaningless life?" is what I've been thinking the past week. What do I love doing? What are my goals or passions? I can't answer to either of them, but to be honest, I think it's fine.Assuiming that your passion is always there seems a bit unreasonable and even arrogant in some way.I want to find out the meaning of my life as I go through many things.Anyway, I'm having an annual check up and nervous about having my intestines checked out with a stethoscope.Well, I'll get myself together and get it over with.

I might change where I post my entry, actually... I've been thinking about how I should go about blogging lately, and my mind is literally all over the place.I think there's a high possibility that I have ADHD considering the fact that I tend to switch doing things from one thing to another. Also when I'm hooked on something, I can't get it out of my head and everything revolves around it 24/7.I've been wondering why I'm always like this, and I thought I might have ADHD. If I fall into the category, I can understand that and live with it.It'll help me feel better about my insecurities and complexes that I can't handle things better than others. So back to the topic, I thought it might be easier to make categories in my blog depending on my interests, such as reading, English and etc.I can label them for each post even here, but still I don't feel fully comfortable working around this blog.Actually I've already had two blogs on Blogger which are inactive.I might transfer to the two leaving this blog unrenewed, but I'm not sure yet.So hopefully you can stay tuned and I'll definitely update my status here. The thing is, it's easier for me to post English entries here than any other services like "note", where people seem to be looking for rather solid and legitimate articles compared to here.I don't mean to condescend this blog and honestly, I feel this is pretty much a safe place to open up about myself. In any case, I'm going to document how I decide on it here, so stay tuned. Thank you so much for whoever reading this till the end.Have a sweet dream 😴

I just finished my online lesson with my tutor for the day. After the lesson I stumbled across this question posted on Quora, saying, "Is it possible to be fluent like a native English speaker if you watch YouTube videos for 10,000 hours?A lot of specialists or experts in the English learning field answered the question, but the most common perception seemed to be it is nonsensical to do that actually. First of all, you won't be able to maintain your motivation. Besides, you need to train your speaking muscle aside from the listening practice.Returnees from English speaking countries learned English as they went through every possible situation in English through comprehensive input. That means we can't probably create the exact same environment unless you're so determined that you can sacrifice your own life living in Japan. Consequently it'll be viable to combine different methods such as interacting with people in English so that you can develop your English proficiency. After all, as Narita san mentioned on TV, we might as well go to a English speaking country to force ourselves into the situation where we need to live with English, not study English. For me, studying English is almost like a hobby, so unless I was put in a dire situation I wouldn't change my stance of learning. You know, I can be so stubborn sometimes.Typing with my phone kind of sucks!Anyway, see you in my next post!

When I post something for the first time in a while here, I sometimes get over 300 views in a day along with a few clickings on a few of my Rakuten Room links. What's happening with all this?I had never gotten over 300 views since I started blogging a year ago. It's weird but I guess some kinds of algorithms are working in my favor.Anyway, right now I'm experimenting with taking effective reading journals.I think I'll go with making stickey-notes notes. This sounds repetitive, doesn't it?This naming says it all, but with a little twist.I'm going to write down some parts of a book on sticky-notes as they are, without summarizing or abbreviating anything. This reduces a great deal of friction when you start making your own reading journal. All you have to do is choose whichever sentences that attract you and add your impressions or thoughts about them.It would be better if you could expand your imagination and develop your thoughts while doing this. What's good about this method is you'll try to find some parts you can write onto the paper, leading you to read more intensively. You might find yourself hyped up about where to select.I'm going to try this out with both digitally and with a physical notebook.I hope this brings me to the new horizon!

It'd be best if you got the perfect score. Bravo! But fixated on the mindset of having to be perfect isn't really appealing to me.Having said that my test day is coming soon, so I've started solving questions on Santa, which is a specialized app for TOEIC takers. Come to think of it, I've always done best when I follow my heart and bury my head into the book.I'll remember those days and keep studying with my own pace until the big day.

These days I've been borrowing tons of books every time I go to the library. Actually, almost to the maximum of ten books every time. The reason is that I've been dying for knowing more that I forgot almost everything at all from school. The examples are "日本の歴史" and I'm on the volume 3 now. It's only 3 though! Haha Not to brag, but I was a pretty hardworking student at high school and my grades were always almost perfect. That's because I didn't have any friends at first and thought I'd give it my all to study as much as I can.Now after 20 years, I feel I've lost everything I learned from school and that's so disheartening. That's how I've decided to read books and cultivate my knowledge to utilize in my future job.I haven't posted anything for the past week for my blog, but I've always thought about it. I just wanted to focus on the content and not derail from it.Anyway, I hope things will be good tomorrow too and notice some great things happening and existing around me.

I recently read the novel ‘Tsunagu’ by Mizuki Tsujimura. Her sensitive portrayal of each character resonated deeply with me, evoking a warm, fuzzy feeling despite having no similar experiences. The narrative, focusing on two mothers who lost their daughter, struck a chord with me as a parent myself. It prompted profound contemplation about the unimaginable prospect of losing my own son.Lately, the books I’ve been reading have sparked contemplation about life and death. I’m fully aware that merely reading about these topics differs vastly from experiencing them in real life. Nonetheless, I recognize the immense importance of engaging with these themes and thoroughly reflecting upon them.

I thought something about my body was wrong, but I didn’t take any precautions to prevent it from getting worse since I’ve been preoccupied with work and my son’s health. As it turns out, my son’s symptoms seemed to have been coming from just an allergy, so I’m relieved. Phew! But in terms of my work, the workload is pretty heavy right now because I need to organize everything correctly before handing my tasks to our client.Things have been pretty hectic, so I feel like all the burdens and pressure came crashing down on me at once. Whenever such a thing happens, I give myself enough rest, and I feel fine again. Thankfully, it’s almost the weekend, so I’ll rest well and do things I love to heal myself faster unless it gets much worse. Thanks so much for reading!

I had an incredibly demanding day at work today, to be precise, I was swamped with an overwhelming amount of paperwork that I had been putting off for quite some time. My procrastination had led to this alarming situation, and it has imparted a valuable lesson. As evidence, my boss questioned why I had asked him to inquire with our client about tasks I could have completed much earlier. This incident highlighted an important point. You may not realize how overwhelmed you’ve become with tasks until you’re faced with a critical situation.Furthermore, this habit of putting tasks off has its own consequences, and you may be unaware of them if you don’t consider the impact on others. On top of that, it’s detrimental to your health. In summary, I’ve resolved to address my procrastination habit seriously and work diligently until I complete the tasks I’ve been neglecting. If you’re also in a similar situation, please be mindful that your actions can have negative effects. This is a refined version by ChatGPT.

I’ve just finished running 3.5 kilometers and immediately tried habit stacking. I recorded my English audio to send to Speak Now and am now writing my English blog post. It does work, actually, since I feel liberated and exhilarated after pumping blood through my body. It really helps to ‘habit stack’ and tackle the tasks I’ve been meaning to do.The thing is, the golden time doesn’t last long, and even when it does, it’s only about 30 minutes at most. So I have to be mindful and selective about which tasks I give my attention to.I hope everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing first day of the three-day weekend.

Today didn’t go as planned. I haven’t been on a run for the past two days. I intended to, but I ended up spending 20 minutes doomscrolling, missing the opportunity.I’ve noticed this happening often. To address the issue, I’ve come up with a strategy. I plan to go for a run on days when I don’t have an evening English class. Today was one of those days, but I missed the chance. It happens. Life can be unpredictable. I’ll take this as a lesson. I want to stop making excuses and start living life on my terms. On another note, I’ve created over 20 English recordings for correction by a native speaker. That’s at least something. I should learn to take pride in my achievements instead of constantly downgrading myself.Well, that’s it for today.

Just finished running 3.45 kilometers, and I have a stomachache right now.I had an offal hot pot for lunch and fried chicken from Kentucky for dinner, so I think that’s why.I knew it was coming, but it’s Saturday, and you don’t want to cook; then all that’s left is to order something or get some ready-made meals from a supermarket, right?Come to think of it, I’ve had a rather productive day compared to these lazy days. First, I got my hair cut and also had my hair dyed with reddish brown, which is my favorite.Next, I finished reading a novel by Sayaka Murata, which was way better than when I first started reading it. The buildup and the climax had me captivated, and the more I kept going, the more I found myself hooked on it.The next thing I did was take an English lesson for 20 minutes, which has become my daily ritual.Lastly, I went running just now.I don’t really feel like I’ve made the most of my day, but I want to give myself a pat on the back and say, ‘You’ve done enough. You deserve some rest now.’Anyway, tomorrow is my son’s Halloween party with his usual friends, which means he won’t be at home for lunch, and I don’t have to make lunch. Woohoo! I hope he has a great time, and that tomorrow will be a great day, too.

I’ve just run 4.5 kilometers, but it was much more daunting and exhausting than I imagined! This is what happens when I haven’t gone for a run as much as I used to. I admit I’ve only been running for around ten days in the past few monthes. Can you believe how people can slip back into their comfortable, lazy state in just a matter of months? And how it’s hard to get back on track again! I’m nearly fed up with myself!I guess I’ll muster the courage to face the consequences of my lost runs.

I watched three horror movies on Netflix today, taking advantage of my once-a-month day off.I thought maybe I could finish some of the books I’ve been meaning to read and make progress with an English learning app I’ve been putting off.But upon reflection, I usually can’t find a two-hour chunk of time for myself in a day. Even if I do, it’s usually at the end of the day when my energy levels are quite low. That’s why I decided to make the most of the day by treating myself to three spooky and scary movies. They were all good, actually. I carefully chose what to watch after reading the synopses beforehand, so it helped me decide which ones to go with.I’m feeling a bit tired at this point, so I won’t go into detail for now, but maybe I will when I have my energy back tomorrow or so.

Weekends have become somewhat challenging for me in a contradictory way. You’d think you can study a lot, but the reality is, you often end up spending quality time with your family more and studying less.I guess, to explain this strange situation to myself, I’ve decided that weekends are the days I recharge my battery for the next week. By thinking positively, spending quality time with your family starts to hold more importance in your life, and you’ll feel much less guilty about studying less.Tomorrow starts anew, and I’m totally ready for it.

It’s kind of funny that sometimes I completely lose motivation to study English and have a sudden realization that Japanese is the language I most respect. But after a while, I realize I enjoy speaking in English. It’s not about what I say in English but more about the way I sound when speaking in English, and what I like the most is probably how liberating it feels.I was uncertain about how to approach my English studies as the day when I might lose my job in a few months approaches, but, after thinking for a while, I’ve concluded that I don’t have to force myself to decide between the two.Following my instincts on what to study based on my mood is my best solution. It might sound self-indulgent and ego-centric, but this is my style, after all.

OMG, I feel like I’m in a slump. It’s not like I have a specific reason for this, but I’ve been feeling mentally unstable these days. This is probably because my period is approaching, but I’m not sure. Even holding my phone makes me feel irritated and agitated. Can someone help me?I guess this happens when I’m overwhelmed by sudden waves of anxiety and intense emotions. In such moments, all I can do is wait and let all my emotions flow.I guess that’s life.

My son loves playing with his friends, so even though he had a runny nose and was absent from school today, he went outside to play with them.He has a heart of gold when it comes to his friends and never dismisses them.As for me, although I’ve enrolled to take the TOEIC exam in December, my motivation was quite low today.Kudos to him for cherishing his time.I’ve had 37 years of life experiences and still have a hard time figuring out myself.Anyway, I’m getting sleepy so I’ll leave my negative emotions here and hope for the best for tomorrow.Peace out :)

It feels like weekends disrupt my routine since I always end up studying less than usual.Today was a sports day for my son, so my husband and I went to see him participate in two races. It was held only in the morning, so it wasn’t that hectic, but I still lost my usual momentum and ended up being less productive. It shouldn’t be looked at as sad or discouraging because I got to rest a bit and watch a few episodes of ONE PIECE with my husband.I had him explain what the plot was all about, so it made it a lot easier to understand what was going on in the episodes.Tomorrow is still a holiday, which is a huge delight, so hopefully, I can study more and read more portions of the book I’m currently reading.Cheers!

I’ve taken over 100 online English lessons so far and had my around 500 recordings corrected by native speakers. But it feels the outcomes and progress seem to have still been limited.I guess outside practice is important and crucial to further improve my English skills.Living in a country where English is not a first language makes it challenging to achieve my desired level of fluency, much less speaking like a native. However, unless I stop trying completely, I believe I can keep improving myself and conquer the obstacles head on.I like this situation I’m in where there’s a high wall to climb over.It must be rewarding when I achieve that.
