先日、今年１年を表す漢字一文字が公表されました。今年は「愛」だったとか。去年の私達の１年を表す一文字は変化多き１年を表して「変」でした。さて、今年はどんな１年だっただろうと振り返ってみました。今年も新年早々慌しいかったなぁ～（苦笑）今年は新しいことづくしでした。二人で新しい街に越してきて、二人とも新しい環境下で新しい仕事にも就きました。新しい友人達もできました。義父が他界し、身内内でも長男夫婦としての役割も初めて自覚し、経験しました。そして今も興味ある新しいことには常に日々チャレンジしつつあります。それよりなにより、遅ればせながらも落ち着いた一応？！新婚生活もそれなりに楽しんでいます。あまりそうも思われてはいませんが、実は私達はまだ結婚して1年半ちょいしか経ってません。

さぁ、来年はどんな漢字一文字の1年になるだろうな～。

The other day, the one letter Kanji reflecting upon this year was announced. This year was 「愛("Ai", one letter Kanji meaning "love")」. For us, last year's one letter Kanji to reflect upon that year was 「変("Hen", one letter Kanji meaning "changes" in Japanese)」. So we looked back at what had happened this year. We were busy from the start of the new year. Everything was new to us, this year. We moved to a new town, we both started our jobs under a new environment.　We made new friends. My father-in-law had passed away and we had to take care of many family businesses as eldest son and his wife. It was a new experience for us. We are still challenging many new things that interests us in our daily lives,too. Although it's a bit belated, we are also enjoying a calm and quiet newly wedded couple's life,too. You may not think so, but we have only been married for a little over a year and half.
So this year's one letter Kanji to reflect upon us is 「新("Shin", one letter Kanji meaning "new" in Japanese」.
I wonder what next year's one letter Kanji will be??
