去年の今日は死を身近に感じた1日でした。

その日の午後には義父の危篤の一報。
義父の危篤はいつでも覚悟をしていたので、聞いても案外に冷静に動く
ことができましたが、JR尼崎の脱線事故は本当に驚きました。
その沿線沿いに私の実家があり、日常的に通勤や移動の公共手段として
家族や多くの友人・知人もこの路線を利用しているからである。
もちろん、私だっていつも利用していました。
今回帰省する際もこの路線に乗らずには帰れないので乗ります。

幸いにも負傷者がいなかったけれど、一つ間違えれば大惨事である。
こういうニュースを聞くと、本当に公共交通機関に乗客の命を預かっているという
強い認識ともっと真剣に安全運転に努めて欲しいと改めて思いました。
そして、JR尼崎脱線事故の死傷者のご冥福をお祈りします。

Today last year, I felt "death" right next to me.
That morning, I heard the news about JR Amagasaki railroad accident.
That afternoon, I heard that my father-in-law became unconcious.
We were able to take care with things concerning my father-in-law because
we were ready any time for that time to come.
But the news about JR Amagasaki railroad accident was a big surprise!
My hometown is located along this JR railroad line, my family, friends and aquaintances

Ofcourse, I used to ride it,too.
When I go back for the coming holidays, I'll be riding this JR line to get home.
Yesterday, I heard a news that JR Yamanote line had stopped in Tokyo.
It was very fortunate that no one was unhurt and that it wasn't a big accident.
But I really thought that all the transportation companies should realize that they are in charge of our lives on board and that they should solve these safety problems more

I would also like to pray for those who had lost their lives in the JR Amagasaki railroad accident,too.
