南カリフォルニアの青空の下で

スカイの住んでいる所からミラマーまでは渋滞が無ければ1時間ほど。南に行ったSan Diego郡にある。

サンディエゴ郡は　『ファイタータウン』　と呼ばれ、幾つもの海軍や海兵隊関連の基地、軍事病院、戦没者の墓地などが点在する兵隊の街である。

サンディエゴ湾に停泊する空母。湾の周りは基地だらけ。

戦没者の 墓地　Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery（白い点々が墓石）

エアーショーは8時スタート。メインの軍用機が飛ぶのは午後の部　といっても始まりは11時。なので10時ごろに出発。I-5をひたすら南下...途中事故渋滞に巻き込まれ結局到着したのは11時半を過ぎていた。　Marine Air-Ground Task Force(MAGTF) を見たかったんだけど、、、どうも見逃したらしい

駐車場に車を停めた時にはすでに　『F-16 Fighting Falcon』　のパフォーマンスが始まっていた･･･駐車場から会場までが遠いいこと遠いいこと、おかげでF-16 の写真あんまり撮れなかった

F-16 Fighting Falcon *

      The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a compact, multi-role fighter aircraft that provides a relatively low-cost, high-performance weapon system for the United Stated and allied nations. In an air combat role, the F-16's maneuverability and combat radius exceed that of all potential enemy fighter aircraft. In an air-to-surface role, the F-16 can fly more than 500 miles, deliver its weapons with accuracy, defend itself against enemy aircraft and return to its starting point.

      F-16 multi-mission fighter flew a variety of missions to include suppression of enemy air defense, offensive counter air, defensive counter air, close air support and forward air controller missions.

そして続いて　『F/A-18 Super Hornet』　のパフォーマンス。スッゲェ～　音速より速く飛ぶから、「あ！来た」と思っても音が付いてきてないんだよねぇ～　静かぁ～～～に現れて、目の前通り過ぎた後から　ゴォォォォォォ～～～　って音が付いていくの・・・超シビレます。耳栓してみてる人が多かったけど、、、この音がまたいいんじゃないねぇ～　その反対に超低速で飛んでみたり、超低空で飛んでみたり、ロールオーバーしたり、、、もう興奮の連続！！

USN F/A-18 Super Hornet *

      The F/A-18 Super Hornet is the Navy's new long-range, multi-mission, all-weather striker fighter. The E is a single seat while the F is two-seater.
