中国の貢献度については、中国の犠牲者数が最も大きいのだから貢献度もそれに比例しているはずというのが彼の考えです。僕に言わせれば、犠牲者数が大きければ大きいほど、それは弱さ、無能さを示すのであって、最も弱く無能である人々が最大の功労者であるとの理屈はつじつまが合わないように思います。彼にはそのように指摘しておきましょう。

今回はウェイ・チャオさんがShanhuangさん宛てに書いたコメントを訳しています。このブログと皆さんのコメントを彼に説明している部分です。

日本人の友人に問い合わせてみた。

友人が言うには、中国人のフォーラム参加者たちが絶賛しているのであの投稿を紹介したらしく、日本でどんな反応があるかを見るためでもあるそうだ。

予想通り、日本人が学校の内外で接している第二次大戦関連の情報のために、重要な論点について彼らは全く異なる反応を示している。

多くが南京虐殺を否定し、３０万の犠牲者数を根拠がないとして笑い飛ばしている。

中国では、大躍進運動（the Great Leap Forward）、文化革命、天安門事件などの政治動乱、内戦では多くの人が殺され、その総数は日本軍により殺害された数を上回るという日本擁護派により展開されている例の議論を繰り返す者もいる。

ようするに、予想通り彼らは否定しているのである。

彼は私に、戦勝６０周年のスレッドの中で、なぜ中国人はアメリカ人に対し助けてくれたことを感謝していないのかと聞いてきた。

彼がアメリカ（悪名高い誇大表現と自我自賛については天賦の才がある）に仕切られた戦後日本の教育を受けて育って来たのは間違いない。

これは先の戦争に対する日中間のギャップを示している。

前にも言ったとおり、元々の罪、その根本は、３５００万の中国人に加え多くのアジア人の血に染まった天皇制にアメリカが手を付けなかったことより発している。

He says they are bringing this post for discussion because it was "extolled" by forumites in China, so they want to see comparable reaction from the Japanese audience.

As expected from the kind of accounts of WWII they have been reading inside and outside of classrooms, the Japanese have a completely different feedback on the key points.

Most of them denied the Nanjing Massacre and laughed at the 300,000 figure as "unverifiable."

One guy repeated the same argument fielded by Japan apologists all over the world including lauguan kim that more Chinese died in the Chinese civil war, the various political upheavals such as the Great Leap Forward, the CR, the T A M incident, and said the total number of deaths from these episodes exceeded the number killed by the Jap soldiers.

In short, they denied it as expected.

Soudenjapan showed his/her own query by highlighting the part of the post where i said the Chinese had suffered the most and made the greatest contributions towards the final defeat of the Japanese imperialists.

He asked me in the V-60 post why it is that the Chinese do not feel grateful towards the Americans for saving them from defeat.

He apparently had been brought up receiving an education in post-war Japan controlled by the Americans -- whose natural gift for hyperbole and patting on their own backs are so infamous.

This shows the gap between Chinese and Japanese perceptions of the last war.

As I said, the Original Sin was laid down by the Americans who preserved the imperial system under the same emperor whose hands were stained with the blood of 35 million Chinese victims and many more of other Asians.
