とっても嬉しいメールが飛び込んできた。内容は下に。
Its been quite a while since I've talked to most of you all.
Just wanted to send out a note to those of you who still might be
in the Tokyo area to let you know that I'll be headed back to
Tokyo in about 3 weeks.
After spending 4 fantastic years in xxxxx, xxxxxxx, finally sees it fit to let me out of the country to represent xxxxx and surprise, surprise, they decided to send me to Tokyo. I'm going to be a xxxxxx (no jokes please about xxxxxxx), xxxxxxx.
So, I'll be back in town in mid July and in town for about two years. Anyways, if any of your guys are around, let me know and I can't wait to see whomever is left in Tokyo.

これは私の友達からのメール。そうなの、なんと彼も私達も
彼と私は仕事がらみで知り合ってから
（彼は当時ライバル会社の広報にいた）
かれこれ６年位になるのだが、
２００１年のＮＹ同時テロの直後に彼がNYに帰って以来
会っていない。私もほぼ同じ時期にオーストラリアに来たし。
生まれも育ちも生粋のニューヨークの彼。
父親、祖父はそれぞれＮＹポリスオフィサーと消防員という
これまたTypicalなアイリッシュアメリカンの一家に育った彼。
ＮＹに行かない限り会うことはないかも‥と思っていたが
なんとなんと日本で再会する事に！！
彼は同時テロの直後にＮＹに帰った為、仕事が８ヶ月も
とある所にあるＸＸＸ。 国家の最高機密機関なのだ。
こんな偶然ってあるー？
日本を離れたのも一緒、また帰る時期も一緒なんて。
日本に帰るのが俄然楽しみになったー！！！
