カー雑誌「ベストカー」最新号にレクサスのフラッグシップスポーツLF-Aのスクープ情報が掲載されていたので紹介します。

ベストカーのスクープ班がつかんだ情報によると、「レクサスLF-AはメルセデスSLRやポルシェカレラGT、GT-Rも目じゃない本格スーパースポーツを目指しているらしい。」というものです。

関係者から見せられた極秘資料は、世界のスーパーカーがズラリと並ぶマトリックスで、ニュルブルクリンクのラップタイムが縦軸、パワーウェイトレシオが横軸で、LF-Aの目標とするポジションが明らかになっていたそうです。

現時点でのLF-Aのテスト車のタイムは７分５０秒、パワーウェイトレシオは３.６kg/psですが、目標値であるタイムは７分４５秒、パワーウェイトレシオは２.８kg/ps。

この目標値付近には、旧型のポルシェ911GT2、ランボルギーニ・ガヤルド、フェラーリF430がいて、ラップタイムはポルシェ911GT2が７分４５秒あたりで最も近い。

さらに資料の中には、パワーウェイトレシオが２.８２kg/psのメルセデスベンツSLRマクラーレンと２.２５kg/psのポルシェカレラGTの超ド級スーパースポーツもリストアップされています。

つまりLF-Aは、６０００万円、７０００万円もの価格がつけられる超スーパーカーの性能を持ちながら、２０００万円クラスのライバル車と同じ価格で買える、ラグジュアリースポーツを狙うということのようです。

本当に世界最高の座を狙う“本物”のスポーツカーとして誕生する、LF-Aのデビューが待ち遠しいですね！！
