Today, let's go exploring in my house for something Japanese!
From what I heard, Western people do not use any kind of mimikaki. Then, I wonder, what do they use when they feel like cleaning their ears? A cotton bud, they would reply. But I will never be satisfied with it. Cotton buds feel too mild. The tool must be Mimikaki, which is generally made of bamboo, therefore far more rigid than cotton.
Not only splendid in function, Mimikaki is full of variety in design on its end. In fact I collect them. When I take a trip in Japan I would buy a mimikaki as a souvenir. They are so charming and attractive.....In contrast, poor cotton buds! :-)
