If you are interested in Japanese rock, you must listen to Asian Kung-Fu Generation. They have released three albums ever, and every one is brilliant. In very early times of the band they made songs in English. Now their lyrics are written in Japanese but English verse style still remains......they try to write the Japanese lyrics in rhyme.
My favourite tune is 'Kaigan-doori' (Seaside road) that is in their 3rd album 'Solfa.' I like its beautiful melody and lyrics. It says :-
'We do not have this, we do not have that,
We are such greeds wanting to get everything what we want.
But the breeze tenderly blows as if it embraces us, the pieces of shortcomings
while the sea is calm at sunset.
Petals of spring flowers are fluttering down at the seaside road'
