The Hardened and Networked Army will provide the Army with greater mobility, combat weight and network capabilities, through a number of initiatives, including:
・1,500 additional personnel, as well as re-focusing the Reserves to provide high readiness forces which will support operations.
Combined with the recent announcement of two more battalions, the Australian Army's ranks will be strengthened by more than 4,000 soldiers which, it is projected, will bring our Army's numbers to 30,190 with a "tooth to tail" ratio of 68.2%.
