Divers searching Chebarkul Lake in Russia’s Urals region have found several craters that may be the impact zones of fragments of the now-famous meteorite that exploded over the area on February 15.

The biggest meteorite chunk discovered was about 1 kilogram. It is hoped that the fragments inside the lake could be much bigger, weighing dozens of kilograms.

湖岸に住むユーリー・ウシャコフさん（64）は；「何か白い物体が湖面に落下し、
雪を跳ね上げて再び上空に鳥のように飛んでいった。
その後、黒い煙を発して、爆発して消えた。」と語る。「湖面の穴はその時にできた。
だから、湖の底には何もないはずだ。」
