There were big earthquakes in Niigata prefecture last night.
Although my apartment is old, it is extraordinary to feel them that big, while I’m standing. They weren’t big enough to get scared, in my opinion, but I checked news on TV.
The anchorperson looked upset, and he couldn’t be calm while he was reading the news. NHK kept broadcasting earthquake news only, so we could see how big the effects of the earthquakes were. I saw houses were collapsed, Shinkansen (Bullet train) was derailed, and landslides. Unfortunately, these earthquakes shook right after the big typhoon; these landslides were much easier to happen.
I hope these quakes stops and Niigata will recover from this tragedy soon.
